Our Mission

To help tech become the biggest export of Aotearoa, with benefits shared across the country, while transforming individual lives and and growing workplace diversity by transforming our education system.

Technology becomes the biggest export of Aotearoa ...

For a country separated from the rest of the world by distance it makes a lot of sense for us to specialise in selling weightless products. We have an excellent starting point with our educated workforce, beautiful natural environment and potential to attract and retain talent.

... with benefits that are shared across the country

Aotearoa faces significant challenges to create well paying, fulfilling jobs in the regions and we believe that tech can make a meaningful contribution to regional economic development, above and beyond growing more jobs in Auckland and Wellington.

... while transforming individual lives

We want to see more people getting paid well to do work that they love and believe that change will happen one person at a time.

... and growing workforce diversity

Many people, including women, Māori and Pasifika are under-represented in the tech workforce. We want to reach population parity where the demographics of the tech workforce match those of broader Aotearoa. We continuously develop our understanding of what parity of participation looks like and how we can become better at contributing to this kaupapa

... by transforming our education system

We believe the best way to affect the change we want to see in the tech industry is through education. Many of the jobs people will be doing 20 years from now do not exist yet and traditional educators do not have the capacity to adapt quickly enough to a dynamic and changing tech industry.
